Cottage Review
Great cottage, the setting is lovely with a nice garden and a babbling brook through the grounds. Yes it's off a busy dual carriageway but it's set far enough back that you don't really notice. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance and a hike up the hill behind to the fell which gives a nice view of the surrounding area.

We have just got back from a fab weekend at EllerHow Cottage. We were a group of 6 adults but there was plenty of room and the cottage was so homely that we felt instantly relaxed. One member of our party even enjoyed a fell run straight from the bottom of the garden. The hen's eggs were also much appreciated - we will definitely be back!

Review from our September guest

Lovely spacious house which is sympathetically furnished. Warm and very comfortable with a log stove. Excellent kitchen and washing facilities . Great grounds. Plenty of parking. Very easy access to all main areas of the lakes. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again.

Wonderful, very accommodating hosts. The farmhouse was perfect for our family stay. Everything we hoped for and more. Lovely house with property that was fun to explore and offered amazing views. Would highly recommend. We'll be back next time we're in the beautiful Lake District.

Elaine was a wonderful host, being very understanding and accommodating when our children's flight was 7 hours late and we arrived much later than anticipated. She warmed the home up for us and had the lights on, and greeted us as we came in. The home was very much that, a home away from home for us. It was absolutely adorable, clean and well-kept. The bedrooms were perfect size and the kitchen and living areas were comfortable and quaint. Overall, it was a charming and wonderful home :)
